The Signs

A sign was given of His birth
Way on the other side of the earth:
For the Savior was born that day
That all mankind might find thieir way.

The sun went down that night
But the world was filled with light.
With glory the earth was adorned,
For the Son of God was born.

A day and a night filled with light;
A star appeared shining bright
On the other side of the earth
From our dear Savior's birth.

God sent His Son down from above
To show forth His great love.
The greatest of all light
Shone bright that special night.

3 Nephi 1:13, 19-21

The Journey

The journey was long and hard
And Mary was probably jarred.
But the journey was meant to be
To fulfill anchient prophecy:
For Bethlehem was the place
That God would reveal His grace.

The wisemen too traveled far
To follow the prophesied star.
They were guided on every turn
As they made their arduous sojurn
To Bethlehem to see the Child,
The promised Savior, meek and mild.

Our journeys too are meant to be
That the Savior too we might see.
He will lead us on from morn to night
And help us to set our lives aright
That we might find that Heavenly place
And once again behold His face.

Everyday

Everyday the Lord walks with me
And from worry and fear sets me free.
He gives me ears His voice to hear
And a heart to feel His love so dear.
His Spirit is there daily my soul to lift.
To me it is such an amazing gift.

He walks beside me through it all
And lifts me up if I should fall.
Sometimes He heals me from an ill,
But othertimes it is not His will:
Instead He strengthens my soul
And leaves it pure and whole.

He knows what is best for me
And He helps me His will to see.
When life takes a wrong turn
And everything begins to churn,
He reaches down from up above
And blesses me with His gift of love.

About Me

Mayer, Arizona
My name is Suzanne Osborne Halliday. I am a mother of five sons: Michael, Edward, Stephen, Bruce and Daniel. I have a beloved step daughter: Lisa. I am the grandmother of seven grandsons: Anthony, Joshua, Aaron, Tyler, Mattie, Sydney, Zachary, and three grand daughters: Bella, Gali and Alycia. I was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1942 to Harvey Osborne and Joyce White. When I was nine years old my parents moved to Peridot, Arizona, a village on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation where my father had bought a trading post. It was not long after this that I was first introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A family down the road invited me to attend Primary. It was held in the back of the Weech's Trading Post in San Carlos. This was where I learned that I because of Jesus Christ I could return to live with my Heavenly Father again one day. Three years later my heart was touched by a Joseph Smith pamphlet I found in my brother Stevie's lunch pail. I joined the church 13 May 1961 when I was 19 years old. This decision has greatly changed my life.
