Sitting at Jesus' feet

I had a bad night and woke up in pain. I asked Heavenly Father to let me go and sit at Jesus feet for a little while. In my mind's eye I went and sat at his feet. I could feel His love for me and for a short while the pain lifted. Several of my friends have been going through troubling times and I have been praying that Jesus would hold them. One friend in particular has a grand daughter in a lot of pain. I want her to be held by the Savior. I woke up and wrote the following poem.

At Your Feet

Let me come sit at your feet
And hear your Word so sweet.
Put your loving arm round me;
Of this world may I be free.

Shadow me in my pain;
Let it all be to my gain.
In the storm give me peace
And from concern a release.

May I choose the better part
And feel your love in my heart.
May I always be filled with joy
And songs of praise employ.

May I always be your little child,
Loving, sweet and mild.
When I reach heaven's door,
May I sit with you once more.

In your loving arm may I rest.
Help me daily in my quest.
Lead me on each day;
Lovingly show me the Way.

About Me

Mayer, Arizona
My name is Suzanne Osborne Halliday. I am a mother of five sons: Michael, Edward, Stephen, Bruce and Daniel. I have a beloved step daughter: Lisa. I am the grandmother of seven grandsons: Anthony, Joshua, Aaron, Tyler, Mattie, Sydney, Zachary, and three grand daughters: Bella, Gali and Alycia. I was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1942 to Harvey Osborne and Joyce White. When I was nine years old my parents moved to Peridot, Arizona, a village on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation where my father had bought a trading post. It was not long after this that I was first introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A family down the road invited me to attend Primary. It was held in the back of the Weech's Trading Post in San Carlos. This was where I learned that I because of Jesus Christ I could return to live with my Heavenly Father again one day. Three years later my heart was touched by a Joseph Smith pamphlet I found in my brother Stevie's lunch pail. I joined the church 13 May 1961 when I was 19 years old. This decision has greatly changed my life.
